Rosary as a simple prayer

The Rosary is a simple prayer, reflecting the soul of Mary who, in her spiritual richness, if of perfect simplicity. In this sense, the Rosary helps us to simplify our prayers and all our contact with the heavenly world, it enables us to advance in a simplicity that sincerely expresses the depths of our soul.

To better understand the value of this simplicity, it is enough to reflect on the complication that enter our life when we separate ourselves from the divine will. From the moment we try to find something other than this will, trying to fulfill our desires or seeking our satisfactions, we come up against all kinds of obstacles, and our life turns complicated: We are torn between God and aspirations
that would remove us from him. We forfeit our inner peace and set off on dead-end paths.

When we look at Mary, we find ourselves in the presence of a soul that maintained its simplicity. In her in most attitudes, there was no deviation, everything was of a luminous clarity. No conflict could occur in her, no protests, reproaches, or opposition to God’s design.

Turning our gaze toward Mary with the rosaries in our hand, we have a chance to enter more profoundly in the simplicity of this soul full of grace. In admiring Mary, who consistently aligned her desires and her will with the divine will, we learn to follow her example. To contemplate Mary in her simplicity means wishing to share that simplicity, because it is accessible to us, too, if we adopt the same conformity to the divine will. Rosaries remind us ceaselessly of the exceptional greatness of the Mother of God, but it also helps us to understand the even if we do not receive a grace so extraordinary we are beneficiaries of a grace that leads us to live in the harmony with God. This grace allows us to simplify our life more and more, in peace and in joy.
